Pool Guard USA - Prevent Drowning

Prevent Drowning Basics:

Florida is known for its prominent pool-friendly terrain. In fact, it is estimated that there are over 1 million swimming pools in this state alone. With such a pool popular culture, one can easily assume that pool safety is an inherent part of everyday life here. Many pool owners within Florida take steps to prevent drowning.

But last year almost 100 children died of drowning in the state of Florida – a record high.

With children at home during this pandemic, parents are doing double duty. In these challenging times, it’s easy to overlook the dangers of the beloved backyard pool (no matter where you are).

Remember – drowning is quick and silent.

To prevent drowning accidents, make sure to incorporate the following steps:

  1. Supervise – It only takes a moment to lose sight of little ones making a dash to the pool.
  2. Install Door Alarms – Door alarms strategically placed on doors leading to the pool will aid you in monitoring children.
  3. Fencing – Install a non-climbable barrier preventing children from accessing the pool. Make sure it self-closes and latches!
  4. Swimming Education (Lessons and CPR) – Make sure everyone knows the basics of swimming and CPR.

To prevent drowning take these steps. It will greatly increase the safety of your swimming pool.
